Hydrogel Wound Dressing Performance and Characteristic: High water content to provide moisture wound environment, inhibition of humoral and promote wound healing, no adhesive to wound and no residual on the skin, no pain.

Range of Apply: Use for moisture wound care, mainly applicable to promote the formation of granulation tissue, poor wound healing, such as pressure ulcer, leg ulcer, second degree burn, skin injury wound.

Sheet dressing hydrogel is a primary dressing designed for wounds with light or no exudate to add or maintain moisture at the wound bed. This product helps maintain a moist wound healing environment to assist in autolytic debridement. To protect peri-wound skin from maceration, apply a moisture barrier ointment.

Indications: Provide moist wound healing environment and help promote autolytic debridement.

Contraindications: Patients with a known hypersensitivity to the product itself or to its components.

Change Frequency: Hydrogel Amorphous Dressings should be changed daily or as directed by a healthcare professional. Other Hydrogel Dressings should be changed as directed by a healthcare professional.

Recommended Secondary Dressings: Cover with an appropriate secondary dressing depending on the amount of exudate and frequency of dressing change.

Hydrogel dressings are an emerging area for wound care, as they increase the speed and success of wound healing. The success of hydrogel dressings is thought to be due to their ability to maintain an optimum wound healing environment, which is warm and moist, rather than dry whilst keeping out infective agents. They are capable of superseding conventional dressings such as natural or synthetic cotton, lint, and gauze bandages.

The hydrogel provides moisture which enables painless debridement of necrotic and infected tissue, promotes granulation, and encourages complete healing. Since they have a high water content, they are not completely absorbent, which makes them appropriate for wounds with light to moderate exudation. In other situations, the accumulation of water can result in skin maceration and multiplication of microbes, leading to a foul-smelling infected wound.
